Actor and filmmaker Mel Gibson will be marking his directorial comeback since his 2016 Hacksaw Ridge and will be teaming up with Mark Wahlberg for a film titled Flight Risk.

The project is attached to Lionsgate and backed by Davis Entertainment along with Mel and Bruce Davey under Icon Productions banner. As per Variety, the film will revolve around a pilot in charge of transporting a criminal for a trial.

“We love the undeniable electric pairing of Mel Gibson and Mark Wahlberg. These world-class talents combining for this dynamic, character-driven film will make Flight Risk one of the most suspense-filled, must-see events of the year," Joe Drake, chair of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, said in a statement.

It is to be noted that Mel and Mark have earlier worked as co-stars in the 2022 biographical drama Father Stu.
