Trailer for Yargos Lanthimos' Poor Things is out

The first official trailer for Yargos Lanthimos' upcoming sci-fi film Poor Things has been released online. Emma Stone’s look from the film was recently released by the makers. Lanthimos is best known for critically acclaimed films like The Lobsters and The Killing of a Sacred Deer. The film is based on a novel of the same name by Alasdair Gray. The novel has been adapted into a screenplay by Tony McNamara.

Apart from Emma Stone, the cast of the film also includes Willem Dafoe, Mark Ruffalo, Ramy Youssef, Jerrod Carmichael, Christopher Abbott, Margaret Qualley and Kathryn Hunter. Emma Stone plays a woman who is brought back to life by a scientist. The film revolves around her quest to see the world as she travels across the globe.

The film is currently scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on September 8. Meanwhile, Emma Stone is also filming for a comedy series titled The Curse, written by Nathan Fielder and Benny Safdie.
