Justin Theroux will now be seen alongside Michael Keaton in Beetlejuice 2, as he becomes the latest member to join the film's cast. The film marks the reunion of filmmaker Tim Burton and actors Keaton and Winona Ryder, after their stint together in the 1988 original supernatural comedy. Additionally, Wednesday-fame Jenna Ortega is also a part of the cast, and she will be seen as Ryder’s daughter. 

The original Beetlejuice also starred Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis, Jeffrey Jordan, and Catherine O'Hara among others. The film grossed $80 million and scored a Best Makeup Oscar at the 1989 Academy Awards. 

The role Theroux will be essaying is kept under wraps by the makers. However, it is known that the film will be a direct sequel to Burton's 1988 original Beetlejuice. Beetlejuice 2 is set to be released on September 6, 2024.
