Kangana Ranaut took to Instagram on Friday to talk about the “most challenging thing” in direction. The actor was given co-director credit on Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi amid much controversy where she stated that she directed 70 per cent of the film while director Krish Jagarlamudi denied the claims. Kangana is helming Emergency next, in which she plays the role of former prime minister Indira Gandhi.

Posting a 1983 interview of acclaimed director Martin Scorsese on her Instagram stories where he talks about frames and blocking, Kangana wrote, “Most challenging things about direction is…A director is faced with minimum 400-500 questions every day from all departments…”

“…Trust me what you want to do as a director is easier to do than to explain…limiting your vision to words is rather agonizing…best teams are those who read emotions and energy and doesn’t get entangled in words…and best directors are those who let those emotions lead them not ambition,” she added.

On the work front, Kangana was last seen in Dhaakad which didn’t perform well both critically and commercially. She next has Tejas and Tiku Weds Sheru in the pipeline.
