Babylon 5 animated film in the works

The creator of the original series Michael Straczynski will be back to helm the animated adaptation

An animated adaptation of the sci-fi television series Babylon 5 is currently in the works. The creator of the original series Michael Straczynski will be back to helm the animated adaptation. While the original is a television series, the adaptation will be a feature film. 

Created by Warner Bros. Television, the series ran for five seasons and won the Hugo Awards and Saturn Awards for the best sci fi series. Babylon 5 revolves around the crew of a spaceship that serves as a neutral ground for travellers, smugglers, and politicians.

Straczynski is also known for co-creating the sci-fi series Sense8 with the Matrix directors Wachowski’s. He is also best known for writing films like Thor, Changeling, Ninja Assassin, and World War Z.
