Actors Amy Adams, Paul Rudd and Tessa Thompson are set to feature in the upcoming comedy titled The Invite. The film will be based on Cesc Gay’s 2020 Spanish film Sentimental.

The upcoming film will be directed by Jonathan Dayton for FilmNation Entertainment and Permut Presentations. The comedy drama will revolve around Joe (Rudd) and Angela (Adams) who are married for 15 years, and lead a monotonous life. As the wife invites their neighbours for cocktails, the meeting takes a different turn as the couple makes discoveries of their guests.

The Invite is written by Rashida Jones and Will McCormack. The film is backed by David Permut.
