Samara Weaving to star in action thriller titled Bella

Set in a crime ridden fictional version of New York in the 1980s, the film follows the daughter of a police officer, who after an unsuccessful assassination attempt on her father, goes on a rampage

Paramount Pictures is reportedly producing an action thriller titled Bella starring Scream VI actor Samara Weaving in the lead. Larysa Kondracki will be directing the film while Jesse Wigutow is developing a screenplay based on a script written by Jason Markarian.

Set in a crime ridden fictional version of New York in the 1980s, the film follows the daughter of a police officer, who after an unsuccessful assassination attempt on her father, goes on a rampage to eliminate those that wants her father dead, and inadvertently stumbles upon the web of corruption gripping the New York Police Department.

John Wick director and acclaimed stunt choreographer Chad Stahelski will be producing the film through his 87 Eleven Entertainment in association with Bread and Circuses Entertainment. The makers are yet to reveal the rest of the cast and release plans for the film.
