Jessica Chastain to star in Apple's limited series The Savant

The Savant is based on a true story published by Cosmopolitan

The Oscar-winning actor Jessica Chastain will be headlining Apple's limited series The Savant. The eight-episode series will be produced by Fifth Season and Anonymous Content. Melissa Gibson, who is best known for co-creating Netflix's thriller drama  Anatomy of a Scandal, will be serving as the showrunner of the series 

The Savant is based on a true story published by Cosmopolitan. Chastin will play the role of Savant, a top-secret investigator who infiltrates online hate groups to take down the most violent men in the country. The limited series will be directed by Matthew Heineman, who will also serve as executive producer. Jessica Chastin and the showrunner Melissa James Gibson are also credited as the show's executive producers.  

Jessica Chastain was last seen in Showtime’s George & Tammy, and her performance in the series earned her a Golden Globe and SAG Awards nomination.
