Vanessa Hudgens sets Philippines travel documentary 

The documentary will explore her family's Asian heritage

Vanessa Hudgens is all set to shoot a travel documentary in the Philippines to explore her family's Asian heritage. The Philippines is her mother's country of birth. 

The untitled project will begin filming in March in Palawan and Manila. The project will be directed, produced and executive produced by Paul Soriano. The relationship between Hudgens and her Filipino mother, Gina and sister Stella will be showcased in the documentary. Her mother, Gina migrated to the US at the age of 25. 

Vanessa Hudgens started her career with High School Musical (2008). Some of her other film credits include Spring Breakers, Gimme Shelter, Bad Boys for Life, Tick, Tick... Boom!. She rose to fame with three instalments of The Princess Switch on Netflix. Hudgens is next set to star in the upcoming films French Girl and Bad Boys 4.
