Ralph Ineson joins Robert Eggers’ Nosferatu 

Willem Dafoe, who previously collaborated with Eggers in The Lighthouse and The Northman, will be playing the titular role in Nosferatu

Ralph Ineson, who is best known for films like The Witch and The Green Knight, has reportedly joined the cast of Robert Eggers’ Nosferatu. The modern adaptation of the 1922 classic horror film also stars Bill Skarsgård, Lily-Rose Depp, Nicholas Hoult, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Emma Corrin and Willem Dafoe. 

Willem Dafoe, who previously collaborated with Eggers in The Lighthouse and The Northman, will be playing the titular role in Nosferatu. The makers describe the film as a ‘gothic tale of obsession’ It is worth noting that the original film was inspired from Bram Stoker’s Dracula and went on to redefine the horror genre in Hollywood.

Produced by Regency Enterprises and Studio 8, Nosferatu will be distributed by Focus Features. The film is currently scheduled for a release in 2024, the makers are yet to confirm a release date.
