Netflix releases trailer for Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once And Always

The special also brings back David Yost, 27 years after his controversial exit from the show

Ahead of the release of the Netflix special for the 30th anniversary of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers next month, the streaming giant has released a trailer. The trailer shows the power rangers coming together to battle their arch nemesis Rita Repulsa, who has augmented herself with a robotic body since their last encounter.

The special will also introduce a new power ranger to the team, Minh, the daughter of the yellow power ranger Trini Kwan. The new character will be played by Charlie Kersh. The special also brings back David Yost, 27 years after his controversial exit from the show. Yost played the blue power ranger, he alleged that he left the show because he was bullied on set for being gay. The show also brings back Walter E. Jones and Barbara Goodson.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once And Always is currently scheduled to premiere on Netflix on April 19. The original show premiered its first episode on August 28, 1993.
