Nancy Meyers explains title of her film Paris Paramount

We had earlier reported that Netflix had cancelled Nancy Meyers' film Paris Paramount and talks are on for Warner Bros to take it up. While nothing has been confirmed as of yet, Nancy has given a little information about the origins of the film title.

Actors Scarlett Johansson, Penélope Cruz, Michael Fassbender, and Owen Wilson, were in talks to play the lead role in the project, which will be set against the backdrop of the film industry.

“There’s been a lot written about my new film,” Meyers wrote. “Here’s one thing I can easily clear up — and that’s the title — Paris Paramount. It’s from a quote by the brilliant and elegant comedy director (dare I say creator of the romantic comedy) Ernst Lubitsch. The movie is about a group of people making a film and the magic and mystery of what we do. As always, Lubitsch said it best," Nancy wrote on Instagram.

Paris Paramount will revolve around a budding writer-director who shares a professional and romantic partnership with her producer. After their break up, they're forced to work together when they collaborate on a massive new project. Amidst the chaos of a star-studded movie production, they try to navigate their relationship.
