Keke Palmer to star in feature comedy The Backup

Kevin Hart will serve as one of the producers

Keke Palmer and and Kevin Hart are set to come together for an upcoming feature comedy titled The Backup for Universal. While Keke will star in the project, Kevin will be backing it along with Bryan Smiley. Keke and Sharon Palmer will also serve as producers under their banner Big Boss Entertainment.

Autumn Bailey-Ford for Autumn Bailey Entertainment will also be one of the producers.

The film will follow Ben who wants to finally get married to his childhood friend Alyssa. However in a turn of events, it is revealed that she is engaged to a billionaire and only wants Ben as her best man. The film will revolve around Ben trying to win her. With script written by Chris Brew and Jordon Gouveia, the film is yet to have a director.

The rest of the cast members and technical crew of The Backup are kept under wraps.
