Barbie Ferreira and Dacre Montgomery to headline Faces of Death remake

The upcoming project is the remake of 1978 horror film

Actors Barbie Ferreira and Dacre Montgomery have been cast in the upcoming remake of the 1978 horror film Faces of Death, for Lionsgate.

The screenplay will be written by Isa Mazzei and Danie Goldhaber, who will also be directing the project. The duo has previously worked in the 2018 psychological horror film Cam.

The 1978 film, which is in the documentary format, revolves around pathologist Dr Francis B Gross, who gets so much invested in the transitional moment between the stages of life and death. Gross also stipulates a theory that humans being the only species who kill for greed.

Meanwhile, Barbie had earlier played a cam-girl in the first two seasons of Euphoria series. On the other hand, Dacre is known for playing the role of Billy Hargrove in Netflix's Stranger Things.
