Jenna Ortega, who is best known for playing the titular role in Netflix’s Wednesday, has reportedly been cast in Marvel’s Daredevil: Born Again. The series stars Charlie Cox as the superhero along with Vincent D’Onofrio as the mafia boss Kingpin.

According to reports, she might play the role of the Marvel super hero Ava Ayala AKA The White Tiger. The series is being developed for Disney+Hotstar by Matt Corman and Chris Ord. The upcoming show, while bringing back Cox and D’Onofrio, will have no connection to the earlier Daredevil show by Netflix.

Daredevil: Born Again will be connected to the larger mainstream storyline of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which means Cox’s Daredevil might appear in phase five of the MCU films. It was recently announced that Jon Bernthal will reprise his role as the Punisher for the series.

The series will have 18 episodes and is currently scheduled to debut its first season in early 2024.
