Danny Pino to lead Hotel Cocaine

The eight-episode series is billed to be a crime thriller

Mayans M.C. star Danny Pino will be headlining MGM+'s upcoming series Hotel Cocaine. The eight-episode series is billed to be a crime thriller. 

Chris Brancanto, the creator of Narcos, will be creating Hotel Cocaine. Pino will be seen playing the role of Roman Compte, a Cuban exile, CIA operative and the general manager of The Mutiny Hotel. The hotel is infamous for Cocaine in the late 70s and 80s. 

Bracanto will serve as the showrunner on Hotel Cocaine. Guillermo Navarro, Oscar-winning cinematographer-turned-director will helm the pilot. The series will be executive produced by Brancato, Navarro, Alfredo Barrios Jr., and Michael Panes. The filming for Hotel Cocaine is slated to begin in the Dominican Republic in May. The series will tentatively be scheduled to air sometime in early 2024.
