Ke Huy Quan wins his first Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for playing Waymond Wong in the absurdist sci-fi dark comedy Everything Everywhere All At Once. The actor had recently won the Golden Globe award and a Screen Actors Guild Award for the same role.

He is best known for playing the role of ‘Short Round’ in The Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom as a child actor in 1984. After making his debut in one of the most commercially successful film franchises, and after a handful of films like Goonies and Encino Man, he largely disappeared from acting roles for years after making a comeback with EEEAAO

EEEAAO has received an astounding number of 11 nominations at the 95th Academy Awards including Best Picture, Best Actress in a leading role and Best Writing. The film is directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert and features an ensemble cast that includes Michelle Yeoh, Stephanie Hsu, Ke Huy Quan, James Hong, and Jamie Lee Curtis.
