Amazon picks up Batman: Caped Crusader after cancellation at HBO Max

Batman: Caped Crusader was ordered into a series at HBO Max in May 2021

The Batman: Caped Crusader animated series has been picked up at Amazon after being cancelled at HBO Max. Amazon has ordered a two-season series, with J.J. Abrams, Matt Reeves and Bruce Timm as executive producers. 

Batman: Caped Crusader was ordered into a series at HBO Max in May 2021. In August 2022, the show and five other series set up at Warner Bros.Discovery were cancelled. 

Batman: Caped Crusader is a re-imagination of Batman tales based on the DC characters, and Bruce Timm created 85 episode animation series Batman: The Animated Series, which aired from 1992 to 1995.

Batman: Caped Crusader hails from Warner Bros. Animation, Abrams’ Bad Robot Productions and Reeves’ 6th & Idaho.
