Bob Odenkirk, who is best known for playing Saul Goodman in Better Call Saul, has revealed that he will be starring in a remake of the cult classic The Room.

The Room, which was written, directed, and produced by Tommy Wiseau, became a cult classic after it came to be known as a ‘hilariously bad’ film.

Notorious for its incoherent screenplay and bad acting, the film reached a cult status owing to Wiseau’s elusive personality and bizarre accounts from his co-stars and technicians during the making of the film. A film based on the making of The Room was made by Seth Rogen and James Franco in 2017, titled Disaster Artist. Franco directed as well as starred as Tommy Wiseau in the film. It went on to earn an Oscar nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay.

Talking about the remake in his Twitter handle, Odenkirk revealed, “This is real.  This is true.  And let me tell you, I tried my best to SELL every line, as honestly as I could...and I had a BLAST.”

The remake is being produced by an organisation called Acting For a Cause, which raises money for charitable causes.
