Actor Jon Bernthal is reportedly set to reprise his role as Frank Castle, also known as The Punisher, in Marvel's Daredevil: Born Again for Disney+.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jon Bernthal joins the series with Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio. Charlie Cox and Vicent D'Onofrio will play the roles of Daredevil and Kingpin, respectively. The series will go on floors this month.
Jon Bernthal first portrayed the character in Season 2 of Netflix's original Daredevil series. He also starred in his Netflix series, The Punisher, from 2017-2019.
Created by Matt Corman and Chris Ord, Born Again will be an 18-episode series. The title has taken from the Daredevil storyline written by Frank Miller, drawn by David Mazzuchelli and published in 1986.
Meanwhile, Jon Bernthal has gained a broad appreciation for his portrayal as Shane Walsh in The Walking Dead. His other acting credits include Baby Driver, The Peanut Butter Falcon, King Richard and Ford v Ferrari, among many others.
The series is expected to release in early 2024 in Phase Five of the MCU.
