Bryan Cogman, the writer of Games of Thrones, is set to executive produce Disney+ upcoming series Zorro. He will also serve as the showrunner and writer of the series.
According to Deadline, Cogman will be executive produce the show along with Wilmer Valderrama, who will also feature in the series. The report also asserted that Zorro will be a reimagining of the classic series for a more modern audience. Alongside Valderrama and Cogman, Gary Marsh and John Gertz also serve as executive producers.
Cogman spent eight seasons on HBO’s fantasy series Game of Thrones, finishing its run as co-executive producer and penned 11 episodes. He received four Emmy Awards, a Hugo Award, a Producer’s Guild of America Award, and aseven Writer’s Guild Award nominations, for his work in Game of Thrones. He also served as the writer-producer for Prime Video's The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.
