Karan Soni joins Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse as Spider-Man India

Karan Soni has been roped in as the voice actor to play Spider-Man India in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. The actor will essay the role of Pavitr Prabhakar, who gained his spidey powers from an ancient yogi. 

Across the Spider-Verse is Sony’s follow-up to its experimental feature, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Directed by Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey and Rodney Rothman, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, grossed over $384M worldwide and won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature in 2019. 

Karan Soni is best known for his role as Dopinder in the Deadpool franchise. Meanwhile, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse's cast includes Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Oscar Isaac, Brian Tyree Henry, Luna Lauren Velez, Greta Lee, Issa Rae, Rachel Dratch, Jorma Taccone, Shea Whigham, Jason Schwartzman and Daniel Kaluuya.
