Julie Soto's debut book Forget Me Not to get TV adaptation

As author Julie Soto will be releasing her debut book Forget Me Not, the work will also be getting a television adaptation, with Universal International Studios attached to the project.

The book is set to hit the stands on July 11. Billed as a contemporary romance, it revolves around wedding planner Ama Torres and her former partner and flower shop owner Elliot Bloom, who work together.

Talking about the adaptation, Julie said to Deadline, "I am absolutely ecstatic to be working with Universal International Studios on an adaptation of Forget Me Not. I was blown away when I heard the news that they were interested in my book and even more excited at the prospect of a series adaptation.”

Universal International Studios has a line-up of book to television adaptations, including Jessica George's Maame and The Feather Thief by Kirk Wallace Johnson. There is also Adrian McKinty's novel The Island in the pipeline.
