The much-awaited sequel Chicken Run, Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget, is said to premiere on Netflix on December 15. 

It may be noted that Chicken Run, the stop-motion animated adventure comedy film, was released in 2000. According to reports, the upcoming sequel will follow the story of a flock of chickens and assorted farm-yard friends, who escape from being turned into pies at Mrs Tweedy's plot. They strive to settle into a well-earned life of peace, with Ginger and Rocky hatching a baby named Molly. However, they have to face unexpected challenges that they encounter when they try to save the animal-kind from the deadly clasp of humans.

The film is directed by Sam Fell. It is written by Karey Kirkpatrick, John O'Farrell, and Rachel Tunnard from an original story by Kirkpatrick and O'Farrell.
