Prime Video announces Angry Birds Mystery Island series

A new animated series adaptation of famous computer game Angry Birds, titled Angry Birds Mystery Island, is in the making at Prime Video and Amazon Kids+. The voice cast includes Harvey Guillen, Kate Micucci, Dominic Monaghan, Nasim Pedrad. The series comes from Eric Rogers and Titmouse.

The first season will consist of 24 episodes with elements of fun, adventure and mystery. More details on the series are yet to be announced.

Introducing four new characters Mia, Rosie and Buddy along with piglet Hamylton, Angry Birds Mystery Island will revolve around these characters that are left to explore an island and crack the mysteries.

"We’re excited to work with Amazon to add a new chapter to the Hatchlings’ story in Angry Birds Mystery Island. I’m sure fans of the Hatchlings will be eager to see them in their own series, with speaking voices for the first time," Rovio’s head of Brand Licensing, Hanna Valkeapää-Nokkala said.

“The Angry Birds captivated people of all ages and became a global phenomenon with the debut of their first game, and their cultural presence has remained steadfast. We are excited by the opportunity to expand the Hatchlings’ world into a family series for our global customers to enjoy even more stories around these beloved birds," added Melissa Wolfe, head of animation, Amazon Studios.
