Oscar Isaac wants Pedro Pascal  to join Spider-Verse

CE Features

The much-awaited sequel to, Into the Spider-Verse, titled, Across the Spider-Verse, recently hit the theatres on June 1. In the film, actor Oscar Isaac voices the role of Miguel O'Hara, also known as Spider-Man 2099, a Spider-Man from an alternate universe. The actor pointed out that acclaimed actor Pedro Pascal should also play a role in the film.

When talking to British GQ, Isaac said that the production of the film is already "brilliant at finding the right person for the right character" but suggested the Last of Us star voice a character in the next film.

"Let's find something for him. He should be a Spider-Person, like a cranky, old Spider-Person,"

Directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers and Justin K. Thompson, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is penned by Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and David Callaham. The film opened to a wide reception, "Sequels to such widely appreciated films usually crumble under the weight of expectations. The anxiety to go bigger in scale, faster in rhythm, and higher in stakes are usually conspicuous in sequels. While Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse does strive to push past the scope and scale of the first film, it does so with meditative confidence." reads the CE review of the film.

Apart from Oscar Isaac, the film features an ensemble voice cast, including Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Jake Johnson, Issa Rae, Daniel Kaluuya, Karan Soni, Jason Schwartzman, Brian Tyree Henry, Luna Lauren Velez, Greta Lee, Rachel Dratch, Jorma Taccone, Shea Whigham, and Oscar Isaac.
