James Wan: Aquaman universe is pretty far removed from the rest of the world

Navein Darshan

James Wan, the director of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom has revealed that the changes in the DCEU universe haven't affected his plans for the film much. In an interaction with Hollywood Reported the filmmaker has stated that the biggest challenge of the film was to keep track of what was going on with the top DCEU management. "I’ve had to make adjustments all along the way. The DCU has been through lots of different versions, but, the Aquaman universe is pretty far removed from the rest of the world. So I can just tell my story on its own without being affected too much, but at the same time, I have to be mindful of what’s been happening."

The film starring Jason Momoa in the titular role has Amber Heard and William Dafoe reprising their roles from the original.
