Donald Glover to pen Star Wars series Lando

Donald Glover, who played the role of Solo in Star Wars, will be writing the upcoming series Lando, along with his brother Stephen Glover.

The upcoming series is set for Disney+ and was first announced in December 2020. While Justin Simien was roped in to direct, the filmmaker later left the show.

 A spin-off of Star Wars, the upcoming series will focus on the titular character Lando Calrissian. Lando Calrissian or Han Solo is a fictional Star Wars character. Before Donald Glover, the role was portrayed by Billy Dee Williams. While the project is in the early stages of development, a release date for Lando is yet to be announced. The plot details of Lando are yet to be revealed.
