Bad Boys 4 gets a release date

The fourth instalment in the Bad Boys franchise, Bad Boys 4, will hit the theatres on June 14, 2024. The upcoming film from Sony Pictures will feature Will Smith and Martin Lawrence once again playing the roles of Miami cops Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett.

Bad Boys revolves around two detectives, played by Smith and Lawrence, who solve a series of murders. Bad Boys franchise is 25 years old. The first film in the series came out in 1995. Its sequel was released seven years later, in 2003. But the third instalment took about 17 years to hit the screens in 2020. The fourth instalment will be directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, who also helmed the third outing, Bad Boys For Life,  while Chris Bemmer will be writing the script. The plot for the fourth instalment is kept under wraps.

Bad Boys 4 will feature the former cast from previous instalments, including Paola Núnez, Vanessa Hudgens and Alexander Ludwig. Actor Tasha Smith will replace Theresa Randle as Martin Lawrence's wife; additionally, Rhea Seehorn also plays a significant role in the upcoming film.
