HBO's The Righteous Gemstones have been renewed for a fourth season. The renewal comes ahead of the end of the third season. The finale episode of the third season was set to premiere on July 30. 

It is to be noted that the filming and pre-production work on the fourth season will only begin after the writer's and actor's strikes are resolved. Danny McBride who plays the lead in The Righteous Gemstone, is also the creator of this series. The series follows a famous televangelist family. 

Jody Hill and David Gordon Green direct The Righteous Gemstones along with McBride.  Edi Patterson and Adam Devine play co-leads along with McBride. John Goodman is also a part of the cast of the series. John Carcieri, Jeff Fradley and Brandon James are executive producers along with the three directors of The Righteous Gemstones.
