The trailer of the upcoming film A Haunting in Venice was released by the makers on social media recently. Directed by Kenneth Branagh, the film is slated for a theatrical release on September 15.

A supernatural thriller, the film is based on Agatha Christie’s Hallowe’en Party. Kenneth will play the role of the famous detective Hercule Poirot, along with the cast comprising of Kyle Allen, Camille Cottin, Jamie Dornan, Tina Fey, Jude Hill, Ali Khan, Emma Laird, Kelly Reilly, Riccardo Scamarcio, and Michelle Yeoh.

A Haunting in Venice is set against the backdrop of Venice in post World War II period. It follows Poirot, a famed sleuth who has now retired. As he attends an event at a haunted palazzo, one of the guests is murdered and it is up to him to crack the case.

The screenplay is written by Michael Green with the film backed by Kenneth Branagh, Judy Hofflund, Ridley Scott, and Simon Kinberg. Louise Killin, James Prichard, and Mark Gordon serve as executive producers.
