Javier Bardem Joins Brad Pitt in Formula One film

Following the news that Brad Pitt has shot for the upcoming film on Formula One racing at the British Grand Pix, it has been announced that actor Javier Bardem is also part of the cast. Directed by Joseph Kosinski, the film also be produced by Kosinski along with Jerry Bruckheimer and Chad Oman of Jerry Bruckheimer Films, seven-time Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton through his Dawn Apollo banner and Plan B. 

The yet-to-be-titled film also stars Damson Idris, Kerry Condon and Tobias Menzies in pivotal roles. The film features Pitt as a former Formula One driver who returns to the sport as a member of the fictional APXGP team, with Idris as his teammate. Reports suggest that Javier will play the role of the owner of the team and a friend of Brad Pitt's character. 

Meanwhile, Javier Bardem was last seen in The Little Mermaid, where he essayed the character King Triton. The actor will next be reprising his role, Stilgar, in the sequel of Dune, directed by Dennis Villeneuve. Javier will also be lending his voice to the upcoming animation fantasy film, Spellbound
