James Gunn who announced Superman: Legacy, has revealed that the upcoming film will not trace the origin story of Clark Kent. The film, which will part of Chapter 1 Gods and Monsters and new DC Universe, will be first among projects announced after James and Peter Safran took over DC.

With James Gunn's Superman: Legacy planned to go on floors in January 2024, the makers of the film have cast David Corenswet in the titular role. In addition to David, the film will also feature Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane.

Responding to a fan, James said that he thinks that enough of origin stories have been seen, suggesting that the upcoming film will rule out the possibilities of such chances. The casting for the rest of the characters is ongoing. It is to be noted that Superman: Legacy will be the first film which will be backed by DC after James Gunn and Peter Safran took over.
