The makers of Up: Dug Days are all set to release a special short titled Dugs Day: Carl's Date on February 10 on Disney+. The short film will follow Dug's owner Carl Fredrickson as he prepares for his first date since Ellie's death.

Pixar Animation Studios' Dug Days is a collection of shorts made as a streaming television series. It follows the humourous misadventures of Dug, the lovable dog from Disney and Pixar's Up. Each short features everyday events that occur in and around Dug's backyard, all through the exciting eyes of the talking dog.

Dug Days is written and directed by Bob Peterson who also voices Dug's character. The series also stars Ed Asner, as a voice artist for Carl Fredrickson in one of his last performances. The animators created new animation rigging, textures, and hair for the characters to update their original designs due to advances in CG animation ever since the original film's release.
