Gerald Butler's Kandahar gets a release date

Written by Mitchell LaFortune, Gerald Bulter has starred in and produced the film. According to the makers, the film's official synopsis reads, "In Kandahar, Tom Harris (Gerard Butler), an undercover CIA operative, is stuck deep in hostile territory in Afghanistan. After his mission is exposed, he must fight his way out, alongside his Afghan translator, to an extraction point in Kandahar, all whilst avoiding elite enemy forces and foreign spies tasked with hunting them down." The film stars Ali Fazal, Olivia-Mai Barrett and Navid Negahban, among others.

According to Collider, speaking of the feature, Waugh, in an official statement, hailed LaFortune's authenticity, which reflects in the compelling and novel script. He also noted that the writer humanises not just heroes but all the characters in the region witnessing the perpetual cycle of violence.
