The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has been headlining news ever since the announcement of the nominations for the upcoming Academy Awards. From India, RRR's Naatu Naatu has been nominated in the category of Best Original Song, while All That Breathes and The Elephant Whisperers have been nominated in the Best Documentary Feature Film and Best Documentary Short categories respectively.

Meanwhile, the Academy has now decided to include all categories of their awards in the live broadcast. Last year, the Academy took the move to shorten the telecast of the award, making it a matter of controversy. Eight 'less-prominent' awards were cut out of the telecast last year to tackle the problem of the length of the event. The categories that didn't make it to the broadcast were Best Original Score, Best Makeup and Hairstyling, Best Documentary Short, Best Film Editing, Best Production Design, Best Animated Short, Best Live Action Short, and Best Sound.

This year, the Academy CEO Bill Kramer has confirmed that all twenty-three awards will be presented live, on air. The 95th Oscars will air on ABC on March 12, 2023, with host Jimmy Kimmel.
