CBS announced on Monday that The Neighborhood will be back for a sixth season. The hit comedy will be back for the 2023-24 broadcast season. The renewal comes amid a strong fifth season for the comedy created by Jim Reynolds.

The Neighborhood follows Dave Johnson, who is said to be the nicest guy in the Midwest. He moves his white family into a tough, predominantly African American neighbourhood in L.A., where not everyone appreciates his extreme neighbourliness.

The series stars Cedric the Entertainer as Calvin Butler, who is also the executive producer. The Neighborhood also stars Max Greenfield, Tichina Arnold, Beth Behrs, Sheaun McKinney, Marcel Spears, and Hank Greenspan as prominent characters.

Executive producers are Bill Martin, Mike Schiff, Aaron Kaplan, Wendi Trilling, Cedric the Entertainer and Eric Rhone. The series is produced by CBS Studios.
