A limited series on actor Buster Keaton's biography is in the works. The latest update is that the makers are in talks with actor Rami Malek to play Keaton in the series.

According to Variety, Warner Bros. Television is said to develop the limited series with Matt Reeves directing it. The Batman director Matt Reeves would direct the limited series and produce via his 6th and Idaho Productions banner.

The film is said to be backed by Reeves, Malek, and David Weddle. The story will be reportedly written by Ted Cohen. Reports state that the makers will take reference from James Curtis' 2022 biography Buster Keaton: A Filmmaker's Life and that they are still negotiating the rights for the book.

Keaton was a popular actor at the time of the silent film era. Keaton's first film was Roscoe Arbuckle's silent comedy The Butcher Boy. He was known for performing exaggerated stunts and physical comedy with a deadpan facial expression.

Meanwhile, Malek is best known for playing Elliot Alderson in Mr Robot drama series from 2015 to 2019, and Freddie Mercury in Bryan Singer's 2018 biopic Bohemian Rhapsody. Malek is also known for acting in films like The War at Home, The Pacific, Short Term 12, Papillon and No Time to Die.
