The first look poster of Evil Dead Rise, the upcoming fifth installment in the Evil Dead franchise, was released by the makers on social media. Directed by Lee Cronin, the film is set to hit the theatres on April 21.

The makers also released a short teaser before the trailer's arrival on Wednesday. It shows a young girl following a singing voice, as she peeks through the door, only to find her mother in a gory and haunted status.

The upcoming film follows Beth as she visits her older sister Ellie after a long time. While Ellie is raising three children in her small apartment, their reunion is ruined after a mysterious book buried deep under the building unleashes demonic powers. It is up to Beth to survive this battle that poses the challenge of facing the unimaginable version of motherhood.

The film stars Gabrielle Echols, Morgan Davies, Nell Fisher, Alyssa Sutherland, Lily Sullivan, among others. Backed by Sam Raimi, Bruce Campbell and Robert Tapert, the film is written by Lee Cronin.
