Damian Lewis will be returning as Bobby Axelrod for the 7th season of the Showtime series Billions. He will be returning for only half of the series, making an appearance in 6 out of 12 episodes when the show premieres later this year.

The news was revealed by Damian Lewis himself as he said "Bobby's Back" to Stephen Colbert on The Late Show. “Axe is back, and it’s exciting. He’s not been around for a couple of seasons," he added.

Season 7, was renewed just a few days ago, and Toney Goins will be returning as Philips, a series regular. This season of Billions will see alliances become foes as old wounds get weaponised. Loyalties will be tested and betrayal will take on epic proportions.

Apart from Damian Lewis and Toney Goins, Billions also stars Paul Giamatti, Corey Stoll, Maggie Siff, David Costabile, Asia Kate Dillon, Condola Rashad, Jeffrey DeMunn, Sakina Jaffrey, and Daniel Breaker. The production of the series is ongoing in New York.

Showrunners Brian Koppelman and David Levien are the creators and executive producers of Billions. Andrew Ross Sorkin was also the creator of the series. Damian Lewis previously exited Billions after five seasons following the death of his wife Helen McCrory.
