CSI: Vegas has been renewed by CBS for a third season, after the success of the first two seasons.

CSI: Vegas follows a group of crime scene investigators who solve murder cases using science-based investigations. CSI stands for Crime Scene Investigation. The series is a sequel to CBS' CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. 

CSI: Vegas blends old characters from CSI with new faces. The first season of the series saw the return of Jorja Fox as Sarah Sidle, Willaim Peterson as Gil Grissom, and Paul Guilfoyle as Detective Jim Brass. Marg Helgenberg returned to the series' second season as Catherine Willows. Other cast members include Paula Newsome, Matt Lauria, Mandeep Dhillon, and more. Other spinoff series of CSI include CSI: Miami with 10 seasons, CSI: NY with 9 seasons, and CSI: Cyber with 2 seasons.

CSI: Vegas is produced by CBS Studios in association with Jerry Bruckheimer Television. The executive producers include Jerry Bruckheimer, Jason Tracey, Jonathan Littman, KristieAnne Reed, Anthony Zuiker, Ann Donahue, Carol Mendelsohn, Craig O’Neill, Cindy Chvatal, William Petersen, Steven H.
