A live-action feature of American science fiction comedy drama Lilo & Stitch is in the making at Disney and will feature actor Zach Galifianakis. However it is yet to be revealed what character he will be playing and the casting for Lilo and her sister Nani is also in the process. 

Lilo & Stitch made its debut in 2002 and is about two individuals, Hawaiian girl Lilo who is raised by her sister Nani and a creature named Experiment 626 who is adopted by Lilo as her dog. The film also got three films made with the franchise, Stitch! The Movie, Lilo & Stitch 2, and Leroy & Stitch.

The live-action film will be written by Chris Kekaniokalani Bright and be helmed by Jon M Chu. It will be backed by Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich and Ryan Halrpin will serve as executive producer.

A release date for Lilo & Stitch is yet to be announced.
