The trailer of Olivia Colman's Great Expectations is here

FX Networks has released the trailer of their limited series, Great Expectations, starring Olivia Colman. The series will begin streaming on Hulu on March 26.

Great Expectations is a period drama developed by Steven Knight, based on Charles Dickens' novel of the same name. The series will follow Pip, an orphan who desires a greater life, until Miss Havisham, a wealthy spinster, opens a dark world of possibilities to him. Under the great expectations placed upon him, Pip must weigh the true cost of this new world and if it will make him the man he desires to be.

The trailer opens with Miss Havisham's voiceover about love and later we find out that she was preaching to Pip. The later montages showcase various characters and Pip's encounters with them.

Fionn Whitehead plays Pip, and Olivia Colman will be seen as Miss Havisham. The rest of the cast includes Shalom Brune-Franklin, Ashley Thomas, Johnny Harris, Hayley Squires, Owen McDonnell, Trystan Gravelle, Laurie Ogden, Rudi Dharmalingam, Tom Sweet, Chloe Lea and Matt Berry.

While Steven Knight has written the script for Great Expectations, he is also serving as the executive producer alongside Tom Hardy, Ridley Scott, Dean Baker, David W Zucker and Kate Crowe.

With Brady Hood and Samira Radsi onboard as the directors, Great Expectations is produced by FX Productions in association with the BBC, Scott Free and Hardy Son & Baker.
