Netflix released the first glimpse of its upcoming docu-series titled MH370: The Plane That Disappeared, on social media. The documentary will premiere on March 8.

The documentary is based the mysterious disappearance of the Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, an international passenger flight that was flying from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing. All the 227 passengers and 12 crew members are presumed dead.

"In 2014, a plane with 239 people aboard vanishes from all radar. This docu-series delves into one of our greatest modern mysteries: Flight MH370.," reads the synopsis of the documentary.

Even as nine years passed, the disappearance is still considered as one of the mysteries that remain unsolved. The three-part series will have scientists, family members and journalists who will share their insights as they still look out for an answer. One among the featured is science journalist Jeff Wise, who authored The Plane That Wasn’t There: Why We Haven’t Found MH370.

The series is directed by Louise Malkinson.
