The story of American football coach and sports commentator John Earl Madden is set to be adapted into a miniseries.

According to Collider, Tom Brady will serve as one of the producers. Mike Madden, John Madden's song, was quoted as saying, "If Dad was still around, and he was looking for a few guys to huddle up and tell his story, he’d be thrilled to have Tom Brady leading the huddle."

It will be helmed by Gavin O'Connor and the casting for the lead actor is still on. Gavin has earlier directed sports films like Miracle (hockey), Warrior (MMA) and Ben Affleck's The Way Back (basketball).

The miniseries is backed by Todd Lieverman, Adam Kolbrenner, Gotham Chopra, and Ryan Stowell. It will be written by Alex Sohn.

John Madden served as head coach to Oakland Raiders from 1969 to 1978. He also holds the highest winning percentage among NFL head coaches who coached at least 100 games.
