Briana Middleton roped in for Apple TV+'s Metropolis

The film is inspired by Fritz Lang's classic 1927 science fiction film

Briana Middleton has been cast as the lead in Sam Esmail's adaptation of Metropolis for Apple TV+. The film is inspired by Fritz Lang's classic 1927 science fiction film of the same name. 

Briana Middleton will play the role of Finnie Polito, and it is a new character that did not appear in the film. The film was an adaptation of Thea Von Harboun's novel. The whole premise of the film is set in a futuristic urban dystopia.  

Apart from directing, Sam Esmail is credited as Metropolis's writer, director, executive producer, and showrunner. 

Briana Middleton recently starred in a film titled Sharper, which is scheduled to be released on Apple TV+ on February 17. It also stars Julianne Moore, Sebastian Stan, Justice Smith and John Lithgow. Her other recent credits include the George Clooney film The Tender Bar. " The actor's feature credit also consists of The Inheritance, which is in the post-production stage.
