Anthony Hopkins, Glen Powell to star in action thriller Locked

The film is a remake of the Argentinian film 4X4

Veteran actor Anthony Hopkins and Top Gun: Maverick's Glen Powell are teaming up for an upcoming action thriller film titled Locked. A remake of the Argentinian film 4X4, the original film is written by Mariano Cohn under Gaston Duprat's direction. 

According to Deadline, Locked will be directed by David Yarovesky, with a script by Michael Arlen Ross.

Locked is a thriller about a thief who breaks into a luxury SUV only to realise that he has stumbled into a complex and deadly trap set by a mysterious figure. It is backed by Sam Raimi along with Zainab Azizi for Raimi Productions. Ara Keshishian and Petr Jakl will also produce under ZQ Entertainment. Cohn and Duprat and Martin J. Barab serve as executive producers.

Apart from Top Gun: Maverick, Glen Powell's acting credits include Apollo 10 1/2: A Space Age Childhood, Devotion, and will star in the upcoming film Hitman

Meanwhile, Anthony Hopkins is a two-time Academy Award winner. He set the record for the oldest Best Actor Oscar winner in 2021 for the film The Father. His recent feature credits include Armageddon Time and The Son,  and he will be featured in Zack Snyder's upcoming sci-fi action movie Rebel Moon.
