A teaser of the upcoming Doctor Who, which will explore the adventures of the Fifteenth Doctor, was released by Disney+. Ncuti Gatwa will play the lead role in the fourteenth season of the series.

Ncuti is preceeded by David Tennant, whose titular character lost his battle against Toymaker (Neil Patrick Harris).  Jonathan Groff will guest star in the upcoming series.

Russell T Davies serves as the show runner, with Millie Gibson playing the role of Ruby Sunday. He will also be the head writer of the season which will have eight episodes. Dylan Holmes Williams, Mark Tonderai, Julie Anne Robinson, Ben Chessell and Jamie Donoughue will be the directors of the show.

The sci-fi series, which has been around since 1963, has featured around 13 variations of Doctors, an alien Time Lord who travels through a time machine that looks like a phone booth called Tadris.
