Filming of Nia DaCosta, Tessa Thompson's Hedda, to commence next month

The upcoming film also stars Callum Turner, Eve Hewson, Nina Hoss and Nicholas Pinnock

Earlier, we had reported that Nia DaCosta, who recently helmed The Marvels, would next direct an upcoming film titled, Hedda. The film is billed as an epic reimagination of Henrik Ibsen's renowned 1891 stage play, Hedda Gabler. It has now been learned that the film's shooting will commence next month. 

The upcoming film stars Tessa Thompson, Callum Turner, Eve Hewson, Nina Hoss and Nicholas Pinnock.

The story of the play follows the titular characterthe daughter of a general trapped in a marriage and a house unwillingly.

The film will be produced by Plan B, DaCosta, Gabrielle Nadig and Thompson. Kishori Rajan for Viva Maude and Michael Constable serve as the executive producers.
