Mia McKenna-Bruce, Louisa Connolly-Burnham and Michael Fox will be leading the upcoming queer drama, Sister Wives.

A love story, Sister Wives will revolve around two young women who live in a polygamous, strict and fundamentalist world. In the same house and marriage, Kaidence and Galilee are attracted to each other, as they develop exciting feelings. In a queer-phobic world, they begin having thoughts of leaving the only life they have ever known behind.

Connolly-Burnham has written the script, and will also direct the upcoming film. Sister Wives was initially a short, which will now be developed into a feature.  The script was a semi-finalist at the  Oscar-qualifying Flickers: Rhode Island International Film Festival. In addition, it has won the Sunday Shorts script competition. 

Augusta Woods will be co-producing Sister Wives with Connolly-Burnham and Emily Everdee, the BIFA-nominated executive producer. The production is set to begin in January 2024, with a release slated for fall.
